 A fire waiting to happen. This was on the roof of a 2 story home and could not be seen from the ground. 

A natural gas line and water pipes routed through a cold air return duct.

The residents of this fourplex complained of a "sewer" smell. The contractor forgot to remove the test plugs from all of the sewer vents located on the roof. This unit was about four years old at the time of the inspection.

A broken Truss- Everything looked fine when viewed form the outside.

While this appears to be an appropriate place to connect a dryer vent, it is actually the combustion air intake for natural gas fired appliances. This is a potentially dangerous situation and the occupant was promptly notified.

This buyer was very excited about having three fireplaces. They would have been in for a surprise when they tried to use them for the first time.
